Where Does Omni Air International Fly To?

I was wondering where Omni Air International flies to?? I know they do some US flights but where else do they fly to and where is their home city?? Thank you in advance for any information.

They do some Air Mobility Command flights out of ATL.

They fly charter flights for Vacations Hawaii between HNL and LAS. They also do charters for MLT Vacations. I think they use their 757's between HNL and LAS for MLT Vacations. Tulsa, Oklahoma is the home base for Omni.

they fly a lot of winter charters out of MSP as well!!

They come through BGR fairly reguarly, with troops headed to Europe. Usually Frankfurt.

They fly a lot of Air Mobility Command charters out off ATL and BWI. They ferry troops back and forth between the U.S. and the Middle East.

They also fly out of SEA for AMC. Have not seen them too much on other routes.

I belive they flight out of LAX down to Cancun or something like every 10 days.. Delta handles their ground service in LAX at least.

I have a nice pic of one of their planes being dismantled, it's parked at the boneyard at LAS. Just turn left at Mandalay Bay and you can't miss it!! I will try to get the pic on here..

Correction:


The aircraft being dismantled was purchased from United Airlines as a aircraft to be used for parts. As you will notice the aircraft is painted in full UA colors. The aircraft is now minus doors and interior features.

Furthermore, OAI has just purchased an ex Finnair DC-10-30ER.

You are to be corrected, that plane is still there but this Omni plane is there too, being ripped apart. In full Omni colors, if you like I will email you the pic.

It would be interesting to see where this "mystery" aircraft is located. If you drive over to where the Signature Termanil is located you will see next to it is Omni Air International. At any one given time you will see an OAI DC-10-30 frieghter, OAI 757-200, and one or two DC-10-30 aircraft. Amidst those aircraft you will also find two ex US Airways Fokker 100, US Airways Express Dash 8, and a United Airlines DC-10 that is being dismantled on behalf of OAI for spare parts!

Also note that the United Airlines DC-10 is still in full UAL colors!

OAI has a DC-10 sitting in Tulsa(not Las Vegas)... Tail#360 which is used for parts!

If you drive north on Las Vegas Blvd and make a right at Mandalay Bay it brings you to exactly where USAir 100 is as well as the old DC-10 from UA, but like I mentioned to you before this Omni 10 is there as well, it was there 2 weeks ago and I will be in Vegas this Monday I will check if it is still there, I have a pic of it if you like you may see it.

Just Inquiring.....


After placing a few phone calls to friends in the employee of OAI (Las Vegas base). One stated that the only DC-10 parked over there was for spare parts and was the UAL DC-10. The two others that I spoke to stated that OAI has an additional aircraft for parts sitting in Tulsa.... However, as you know Flight Attendants gossip is about as credible as a grain of salt...

Omni is ending the LAX-PPT flights in April as Princess has signed on with Air Tahiti Nui to do all of the passenger transport down to Tahiti. The Las Vegas to Honolulu charters are on behalf of MLT who is using a DC-10 and 757 in an all economy class configuration. The Vacations Hawaii is a 3-class configuration using an ex Continental Airlines DC-10-30 with an upper deck galley...

Another note of interest to mention about OAI is that the numbers of many of the aircraft total to 9.... I.E.... Aircraft # 450, 540, 360, 630... The reasoning behind this is that Stan Bernstein the owner feels that 9 is a lucky number.

By the way aircraft #450 was officialy christened "The Pinto" by many of the OAI Flight Attendants in 2001. The reason behind it... The aircraft took mechanicals on a near daily basis, and in addition had a lower deck galley that was nothing short of inoperative. The aircraft was a DC-10-10 that operated runs for SunTrips from LAX to KOA, LIH, OGG, HNL..SFO to HNL..LAS to HNL... In addition the aircraft also flew BOS to AUA, MSY, CUN... MSP to CUN, AUA, ANC... and several domestic D.O.D. services as well.

As soon as this pic is available I will post it for you, The US DC-10 is there I took a pic of it when it was first parked right near the fence last year. It is now behind the Omni DC-10, the USAir Fokker is to the left. You will see. Like I said it was there on the 15th of Jan and I will look there this Monday when I drive up there.

I am currently deployed in the Middle Eastern desert and this is the airline that brought us here. N630AX was the aircraft. Great Flight Attendant service, very professional yet they cracked jokes the entire way.  Big thumbs up

I took an Omni DC-10 to Saudi Arabia back in 2000. It was a nice flight, but I believe the aircraft was leased from Condor because it had Condor logos on the bulkhead walls, but it flew in full OAI colors. I assumed it was either leased or recently purchased from Condor. Lovely flight, lovely air hostesses and great food, even if it was just cold sandwiches.
