Aer Lingus Info

Fri Feb 20, 2004 8:33 am

I am travelling outbound on an EI flight BOS-SNN and returning DUB-BOS. I remember hearing about equip. that was flown to boston on this board around 6 months ago but I cannot find it. Anyway I am wondering if the A330 (the conf. doesn't which A330  Smile) is equipped with decent ife and pitch? The aerlingus.com site seems to state that all A330 a/c have PTV's, is this true?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

I advise you take a plastic bottle to do the toilet in as ei has outside toilets on there aircraft so could prove a little dificult to hold it in on such a long flight and you can imagen the problems of going.

Don't get a window seat. There's an annoying metal box fixture on the floor of their A330's which I think contains wiring for their IFE system. That thing takes away from leg room and is a real pain on long haul flights.

A330-200 EI-DAA is the only aircraft in the Aer Lingus fleet fitted with PTVs in Economy Class.

So most likely there will be no ptv's in coach how about the seat pitch? Does BOS get A330-3 or A330-2 in the early summer?

Boston will more than likely get an A330-3. There is no chance of ptv's, unless they switch aircraft to the A330-2. And even then there is only one aircraft fitted with them.

Just flew EI on Thursday DUB-BWI (via SNN) on their A333. The pitch and seats are comforatble. IFE is decent, flight attendants are polite and helpful. On the trip to DUB the equipment was an A332 and the seats seemed to be not as comfortable. The EI A333 was a great plane.

Nobody respects me . . . :(
