Airline Employees With Own Website

Fri Feb 20, 2004 12:56 pm

http://www.pbase.com/aqohana/root

I just took a sight at this website and I think its really a great idea. Makes the airline much more sympathic to me. The website is not about money and reservations, but it shows you the face of those who make the airline work.

Its really a great Idea when employees depict their own airline.

Are there some other websites from "airline employees" of other carriers ?

Hey! I see you found the AQ Ohana website. But next time, use the htt://www.alohaohana.com name. It's being paid for by one of the AQ Pilots. This is run by William Remular aka Billy. He's the same guy from past AQ Commercials. The photographs are from him and the other AQ employees. I really like this website myself. Here's another AQ Employee website: http://www.pbase.com/dkaleo315/aloha_airlines_and_friends

Here's one by a KLM Flight Attendant. http://www.pbase.com/sharonchan813/work
Also check out this AQ Explorers Program website. http://www.pbase.com/aqexplorers/general

I never had a chance to put a feet on Aloha and I hope to do so one day ! But when I saw this link, the airline appeared with a much more sympathic image to me even if I am not from this side of the world !

But other employees from other airlines should really do the same.

thanks for the KLM link

Yes, it does. In Hawaii, businesses are not always perceived as just a business, even at the professional level. Businesses are run like if it was a family, thus the name of the website, "AQ `Ohana." `Ohana means family, in Hawaiian. It does have a more sympathetic view. Sometimes I wonder if this is the secret to AQ's success.

You bet. After having the privelage of being a part of the "OHANA" several years back, I can admit that that was just what it was. Everyone helping each other. You never had an individual be or think like they were "IT." AQ had pride, treated there employees well and still are and doing things what is right and NOT wrong.

Billy is a very good friend of mine and he is called Mr. Aloha at work. He represents Aloha Airlines with all of which is mentioned above and much much more.

If you ever get to HNL and have the oppurtunity to meet Billy say Hi for me. I think he should be the next CEO at Aloha.

He is just one part of the reason for AQs success.

Aloha,

Shane
