When I say 332 i mean AS332 Super Puma, CHC and Bristow operate them, they were'nt enjoying the snow and ice yesterday.

i didn't think it was a good idea to land an A330 at ABZ in a snowstorm.

We just had some really gnarly weather here in HNL. A huge electrical storm directly over HNL closed it for about an hour on Thursday. Two AQ flights holding for take-off turned back to the gates. A JL flight from KOA-HNL was diverted back to KOA due to the foul weather at HNL. Also a HA flight was diverted to KOA as well.

Check out the last few replies on the HNL RARITIES thread about the recent weather here....

This bird nearly overran the runway.... Just stopped at the end... was a quite shocking moment....

It was very windy and there was alot of thunder about and we were delayed for about 2 hrs at MAN while waiting to board for the LHR flight, we weren't told why we were delayed until we got on board and then we found out that it was because they were checking the aircraft for damage after being struck by lightning while landing. And we were delayed even more when we got to LHR cos we landed in rush hour.

HNL has great weather overall, with clouds over the mountains. But the weather can get really bad sometimes, as HNLFB said.

Foul weather? How about aircraft melting in the current 44*c (111.2*f) weather. It's hot here in PER....

Melting? Eeeek. Any pictures?

Shouldn't the aircraft be okay at 44C?? That's a bit spooky.

Had quite a fun landing in AMS earlier this month on a KL 737. 8th Feb, storm force winds and we caught a serious x-wind gust just before touch down which seemed to turn us sideways. Lots of screams from the cabin but the crew took it in their strides!!
