Which Aircraft Will Operate DL 838 Tomorrow?

Hey guys.. I've got a flight in a little over 24 hours and I was wondering if anyone (probably Delta employees), would be able to give me the tail # for which aircraft is scheduled to operate Flt # 838 from SLC - SEA, tomorrow March 5th, departing at 6:49 pm.

And yes, to state the obvious, I know it's an MD-90, I'm just wondering which one! (Specifically, if I'm going to get an old livery or a new one.)

LOL.. why is that Jhooper? Are they all in the Deltaflot schema now? I thought that only about half (1/2) of them were?

Ahhh the DL MD-90's are good birds BCA. I'm sure you'll have a great experience whether it's in widet for DeltaFlot. I hope you get Ship 906. She's still in widget and I've personally flown on her 3 times. Let me know how it turns out! Big grin

Yeah, I know I'll find out tomorrow.. but you can't blame me for being curious!

And besides, it's the beginning of a beautiful 13,904 mile roundtrip journey.

I suppose there's no real reason to know except for curiousity, and so I can look-up pics of my bird on A.net!

I will come to the rescue. According to the trusty DLTERM, ship 9212 registration# N912DN is scheduled to fly that trip. A search of the A.net database shows it has been repainted to the new colors. It will arrive into SLC from SNA at 1724 operating flight DL520.

I recommend checking the nose wheel doors for the ship number before you board to make sure it has not been swapped to another aircraft. Have a good trip and thank you for flying Delta.

With the stormy weather in Texas tonight I would not bet on anything tonight. I'm sure DAL Flight OPS is CX'ing and rerouting aircraft all over tonight, so the plane that was schedule to finish up in your home town could be headed some where else.

Now that I'm back from my trip (very exhausted BTW), I just wanted to let you know DAirbus that you were spot on, it was D912DN, and I have to tell you, she was a beaut! I've never flown the MD-90 before and I must tell you, I was very much impressed. A great airplane all around. Will definitely make sure to fly 'em again.

Airline employees (myself included) really need to cease giving out non-public information to people we do not know on this (and other) boards. For a malicious type looking to make a bomb threat, a tail number would be likely to give said threat more credibility than it might otherwise receive. Basically, stop giving out non-public information before flights for everyone's sake.

A bomb threat, whether someone has the tail number or not, is serious and should be investigated fully by the airline and appropriate authorities. I don't think that having the tail number or not is going to matter Jjbiv.
