New Look For Miami Air

Just went to http://miamiair.com/ which has an entirely different logo and scheme than their current corporate identity. I wonder if a new paint scheme and identity are in the works?

I posted this back in November. Their site is finally up-and-running. It looks like, indeed, they have a new scheme based on artist renderings posted on the site.

G-XLAC has been flying with the new titles and I've been wondering what the new livery would look like, it's good to see that it won't be all-white.

It looks like they're trying to get away from the "local" image with the palm trees. Just like NORTHWEST > nwa

Looks like G-XLAC is in basic Excel Airways or Helios Colors...not Miami Air at all. In fact in the photo, you can see where it once said "Excel" on the tail.

nice to see Miami Air get away from that 2 thin stripe anonymous look of the previous scheme. Nice livery, looks very mid-90's. The tail however, could have been designed much better. What the heck is that? a sliced orange, a sun, the earth or what. You can't tell from a distance what it is.

Will Miami Air remain a charter outfit or will they ever get into scheduled service? I see them at IND often bringing in athletic teams. I like the new livery

If they're smart, I think they'll stick to charter-only. They've been in the charter business for a while and have a nice niche carved out.

MerC,yes,the new livery isn't bad,but if you call yourself Miami Air,you should have something tropical in your livery ,IMHO  Smile

I agree with United_Fan and MerC. Miami Air should have stayed with the older colours as they were much tropical, the new livery doesn't remind you of sunny Florida at all. They could have redesigned their older ivery with the same colours, like redesigning the palm tree with larger green wavy stripes on the fuselage or something in that direction. Airlines operating out of the Caribbean should have more colourful or tropical liveries, just like BWIA, Air Jamaica and DCA have. Their new livery is a bad move IMHO.... But it's nice they still fly though, so I do wish them all the best  Wink/being sarcastic

Looks nice! Wish they had kept the Plam Tree, I always that was great!

Are they just a charter operation?
