At FAI:

1) Frontier Flying Services B1900, 14 departures daily (most days)
2) Alaska 737, 13 departures daily (most days)
3) Various airlines DC-6, 3 or 4 departures daily (most days)

I couldn't even begin to guess how many various private planes fly in and out of FAI on a daily basis but their numbers would dwarf the commercial numbers.

WN

UA
CO
HP

MD80 is probably a close second.

Kaigywer,

That would be news to me. If SK has sold their 767 jets, then they have done it very recently.

For YYZ it would have to be the A319-321 family - operated by:-
AC,TS,6J,HP,NW,UA,US,JM and CU.

Next is the CRJ, flown by AC,QK,OH,SE,YV,and BLR(ACA).
Tied for second is the B737 which has - Canjet,WS,AA,CO,DL and UA.

Well, at my home airport, FNT - Flint Bishop Airport in Michigan, we get the following planes:

Beech 1900 (Midwest CX, Continental CX), Saab 340 ( ATA CX, NWA Airlink ), DC-9 ( Airborne Express, NWA ), 717 ( Airtran ), CRJ (Delta, NWA ), Avro RJ ( NWA ), 727 ( Fedex ). Therefore, the following planes are most popular at my airport:

Beech 1900 ( 2 Airlines )
Saab340 ( 2 Airlines )
DC-9 ( 2 Airlines )
CRJ ( 2 Airlines )

At Detroit Metro, KDTW, which is about 70 miles south of me, the following planes are most viewed at the airport:

DC-9 no doubt

In Wichita, it's clearly the CRJ series. They are operated by AirTran JetConnect, America West Express, American Eagle, Delta Connection, Northwest Airlink, and United Express. ERJs are also common here with American Eagle, Continental ExpressJet, and Delta Connection.

The remainder is mainline jets, MD-80s with Allegiant 4 times a week, American MD-82s once or twice daily, and United A319s once a day I believe. The A319 will be replaced with a 737 in a month or so. Charters with Ryan or Allegiant can be seen often as well, usually with MD-80s or 727s. There's also cargo flights with DC-9s, 727s, and 757s.

Here at Wellington (WLG), New Zealand, our most common aircraft is the 737, specifically the 300 with NZ, QF and SJ regularly touching down...

I agree with Mx330 that the MD-80 is the most common type in MEx. I would like to add to his reply that it is not only AM that has a lot of MD-80's in MEx but also AA. Of the 5 or 6 daily DFW-MEx flights, at least 3 are done with their "Super 80's". I don't know if AA is using MD-80's also in some of the MIA-MEx flights. If you want to include older DC-9's in this category, you also have the JR's and the one from Tikal Jets.

As for the A32x's, they are also a quite common sight. Not only MX has a bunch of them, but you also get to see some from AC, TA (including TACA Perú) and the one that US uses for the CLT-MEx flight. I am not sure if UA flies some A32x's to MEx but I guess so... perhaps someone can confirm.

Finally, as AM replaces its Mad Dogs, the 737NG will become a very common type in MEx. In addition to AM's, one can find 737NG's from CM, ZE, AA, CO and DL.

As a side note, MEx is really a cool place to be in the afternoon. On a lucky day you can see 2 744's from LH, one from AF, one from BA and one from KL (Combi), plus a 742 from JL, all of them at or near the gates.
Upcoming flights:
April/May: AM MEX-SCL 788 (J), AM EZE-MEX 789 (J).

KaiGywer,

The Air Canada planes at MSP are Fokker's, not CRJ's, unless they switched from the last time I flew them of course. Where do you see HP starting service to MSP with a CRJ, that would be terrible, imagine going MSP-PHX in a CRJ!!!

At Sacramento, CA (SMF), the most common planes are by far the 737's of WN and DL. AA also flies a number of MD-80 series planes out of SMF, too.

Also, SMF has a lot of regional airline traffic, so you see a lot of EMB-120 Brasilias and some regional jets, too.

Here in Auckland the 737-300 is the main aircraft due to NZ and QF operating the type on domestic flights! Also NF and SJ on International routes. Several carriers also operate 737NG's on International flights being QF, FJ and PH mainly.

NZ A320's are also becoming more common aswell, also SB fly the A320 in.

We get a good mixture of Widebodies really

747, NZ, QF, SQ, TG, MH, FJ, CV (KE in summer)
767, NZ, QF, FJ (BR in summer)
777, EK, KE, MH, OZ, SQ
M11, TG, LH
330, GA, SB
340, EK, AR, LA, CX, TN

Think thats about all the Widebodies.

At SYD, the majority of the airplanes that arrive here are 737's with Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue, Freedom Air and Qantas all operating all types.
Also, the 747 arrives and departs quite often with Qantas, United, Thai, Singapore, Korean, and many many more.
There is an increasingly more number of new Airbus a/c touching down with the A340's (Emarites, Cathay and Air Thahiti) and A320's (Air New Zealand, and soon to be Jetstar)

At DXB it is definitely the 330. EK, TG, MS, QR, MH, ME, GF
Followed by probably the 737 or 777. Can't really decide which.
Very few 747s at DXB. Mostly only freighters.
All that was for T1

Regarding T2 it would be rally difficult to decide....AN12 or 727?

At YOW, I'd say;
737 - WestJet, Zip (AC), CanJet
A319-321 - AC
767 - Zoom, AC
727 - First Air
MD-80 - JetsGo (soon to have Fokker)
CRJ- AC, NW, DL (many many by AC)
Dash-8 - AC

I'd have to say at IAD that it's the CRJ not the 767 thats the most common. With United Express operations there could be as many as 40 in the gates at one time. Also SpanAir, Varig and LOT don't fly into Dulles any more.

Just My 2 Cents

At AMS definitly the 737`s of KLM and Transavia.
A close second is the 747 of KLM (man they have so much of them....) and other airlines (mostly from the far east)
As third I would say the NW DC10-30 but this one will soon be replaced by A330`s.

FRA is served by over 90 different airlines so there are LOTS of different aircraft... but if i had to pick the most popular i would have to say either the A340 and the Boeing 744 for the wide body and the A318,19,20,21 for the short haul routes.

At BOI it would be the 737 hands down, operated by DL, AS, WN, UA, and HP with the CRJ (OO, UA, QX) and Dash 8 (QX) close behind. There are still a few MD-80(AS), A320/319 (NW), and 757 (North American). Not sure what F9 are using, I think they have gone all-CRJ at BOI with QX having a maintenance base there. F9 has used a mixture of 737 and A319 in the past.

The most common aircraft at PHX has to be the A320 of Mostly HP, and a few US and others here or there. It is not hard to decide about PHX because it is HP's main hub and their most common aircraft is the A320. I am quite sick of it right now!

Airbus3801-Don't forget all the

1) RJs

2) WN 737s

And maybe you should say A320 family to include the 319.

@ FLL i guess you can say 757's with the loads of them that DL/Song, Conti, NWA, AA, US, avianca, ATA, UA.
Or 737's almsot every carrier flies those out of here.
Or the 767's with Delta any their 11 Daily 76's and then Air Canada and Universal.
Then you can maybe say the Md80's with Spirit and there about 20 daily then with aa, conti, delta, midwest, AX...
Or Airbus's in which Jetblue and there quite a few, then Frontier, Usiar, TED, Air Transat....
So i guess you can say FLL gets almost everything...
717, 727, 731, 732, 733, 734, 735, 73G, 738, 752, 753, 762, 763, 777, DC9, MD80, DC10, L1011, ERJ, CRJ, ATR, DH8, A300,

Freedom (F8) will be starting MSP-PHX on 18 June in a CR9. Doesnt make alot of sense since PHX-MSP is a generally high yield route. Shrug, I just put the pax on the planes, I dont know rhyme or reasons why they do things.

There is word going around that the Enteprize was her in 1998.

At BOS, it would either be the 737 series (AA, UA, DL, CO, US, AM, TZ, and AS), the A32X series (AC, UA, NW, US) or the 757 (AA, UA, DL, NW, US, FI, TZ, AW at times). My guess would be the 737 series would be first, since AA uses it on a lot of transcons, DL and CO primarily use it for NYC service, and UA, and US schedule quite a few in daily. The MD-80 also sees regular service from primarily DL and AA.

As mentioned before, MHT is the 737 (UA, CO, US, WN), followed by the A32X series (UA, NW, US).

Those are some funny looking Fokkers for sure...hehe.  Smile Nah, kidding aside, they are CRJs. I saw HP starting service thru Mesa Airlines MSP-PHX, not sure when, but the flight on 7/2 is a CRJ for sure.

I don't think MSP-PHX is that much farther (if even as far) as several of 9E routes from MSP (PNS is one that comes to mind), but still, I'd rather fly to PHX on a 757.
