Hello,
I'm just about to plan my holiday schedule, and I would like to fly DUB-EDI-LGW on the 28th of July. The first leg will be on Ryanair, and the 2nd on EasyJet.
My main problem is, the FR flight arrives at EDI ( if on time ) at 1925. The 4U flight would depart EDI at 2040.
So, how are the connection times at Edinburgh? Has anyone further information about Terminals, etc...?

You will easily make that. Alos expect FR to be 20 mins early as they often are. One terminal, it can be done, just don't expect a decent boarding card number on U2.

Here is a great pic. The FR flight will arrive probably where the U2 or EI 737 is. The U2 flight will probably board around where the Landor is.
Check-in won't take long, it is a very simple layout.
Not much has changed visually, just the multi-storey car park going up on the left right outside the terminal and the ongoing construction of the parallel taxiways. Work has just started on the new tower though, and I don't know when the extra terminal expansion is going to start. I doubt it'll be before you visit.

The JER-EDI-MAN flights are with BA. Do you know if they are usually on-time?
Also, please could you tell me any information on EDI Airport as I never been there before. E.g. what it is like/what sort of aircraft EDI gets.

Do you have to check in again for BA? I don't think you'd make it if you have to.
EDI is a great airport it has all you need and is light and modern! of course you can never be sure, but normally they are on time. However, EDI is very nearly at capacity so it can get very busy at peak times. Furthur terminal expansion is planned which is just as well!
Not much in the way of heavies, but you might catch Air Scotland, we have lots of movements compared to other Scottish airports instead of heavies, we do get most the European airlines though.
On that day and time you will have missed CO, SAS, Transaero, Germanwings.
As it is a BAA airport the only way of catching the movements is at the gates which give great views of the runway. Lots of vantage points around the perimeter though.

Unfortunatly I think you have made a big mistake. As your flying no frills carriers, then if you miss your connection at EDI, you will have to pay again for your flight

please be aware, these low cost airlines are great when travelling one leg but I would never connect from one to another. At short notice fight times can be changed without warning. If your first leg on Ryanair is put back 2 hours you will not be able to change the onwards Easyjet flight without cost. be careful
