How about JFK-ORD mainline? ONE daily Comair CRappyJet, without a single O&D passenger (base fare on the route is one-thousand, four-hundred and nineteen dollars and seventy cents, or $1419.70, and Delta won't go lower than that, it's a "B" fare) is simply pathetic, particularly when you consider that two carriers hub at ORD and one of those is the second-largest carrier at JFK, and both are among the 15 busiest airports in the world...guaranteed, jetBlue will smoke the widgets off the route within 3 months of starting it...

LGW! AA has an alliance with BA for sh*t's sake and they couldn't make this work even with the reduced STL schedule????

I know TPA could use some more international routes aside from its tiresome TPA-LGW(BA) and TPA-GCM(KX) flights. It can also serve as an alternative for the congestion at MCO.

UA needs to add DEN-BFL. In the good old days of the 80's CO did DEN-BFL nonstop on a DC9.

I still think that RDU needs NS daily service to one of the following..

Mainline...

LA Area (LAX/Long Beach/Ontario/Burbank)

Bay Area (SFO/OAK/SAC/SJC)

RJ service...

JAX, MSY, FLL, BUF, Montreal, PBI,

I also think RDU needs mainline (instead of RJ service) to...

DEN, PVD, LGA, DCA

Lastly, let me say.. that if Delta can fly all MD80/757 hourly to Atlanta, they can certainly do a coast-to-coast from RDU...

With only a metro population of one million plus a few thousand, I can't expect much more here. However, one route to a Western US hub would likely make a go of it. Perhaps Denver? As well, an additional city in Europe such as Amsterdam or Paris would likely work. Right now we only have London Heathrow via AC. Many years ago KLM served YOW to Amsterdam, and although most flights went out and returned full, the service was dropped as KLM opted to focus on core cities in North America.

Just gimme QF SYD-DFW and I'll shut up about new foreign carriers to DFW. Atleast for a month or so.

Until the possibility of EVA TPE-DFW or CX HKG-DFW comes up...

Or EI DUB-DFW.

There were two comments that Raleigh has no daily service to Ft. Lauderdale. That is incorrect. Delta Connection flies twice daily between Raleigh and Ft. Lauderdale, in addition to American Eagle's twice-daily weekend service.

What is your connection with LBB? I live here and a connection with PHX would be great. Didn't America West once serve that route? I also would love UA or F9 to start DEN-LBB.

My local airport:

A second Comair CVG-TLH-CVG flight, the single daily flight doesn't seem to provide too many connection opportunities. I always use ATL because if were to miss connecting to the CVG-TLH flight, I would have to connect again in ATL to make it to TLH.

CO Express should consider a EWR-TLH-EWR flight to compliment the new IAH-TLH-IAH flights.

I think American Eagle could make regional jet service work for DFW-TLH-DFW and MIA-TLH-MIA

UA Express ORD-TLH-ORD...less likely than the previous scenarios.

My true home airport is TPA...I hope to return there soon...more spotting opportunities  Smile

A few flights I would like to see there are:

SLC-TPA-SLC on DL...come on DL flies 767s hourly from ATL and we can't get a measly 738 to one of their hubs!

SFO-TPA-SFO and LAX-TPA-LAX on UA, competition from Song and ATA make the second flight less likely.

SEA-TPA-SEA on AS...Orlando and MIA are doing well, give TPA a chance!

Bill in ATL

For DAB:

DAB-DTW on NW
DAB-IAD on IA
DAB-CLT on US
DAB-JFK on B6 or DL
DAB-IAH on COEX
DAB-CLE Year-round on COEX ( currently Dec-May, but it exceeded all expectations)
DAB-DFW on AA or DL

I have good reason to believe that most of the above will occur within the next 12 mos, except the DFW, which is a wish.

For PVD

PVD-FLL on Song, US, Spirit or SW (Part of US new point to point plan)
PVD-CO / KMCO), USA - Florida">MCO on US or Song to compete with SW's 4
PVD-IA / KMIA), USA - Florida">MIA on AA
PVD-IAH on CO
PVD-LAS Daily SW or HP
PVD-DEN on F9 or UA
PVD-ORF on SW
PVD-HOU on SW
PVD-JAX on SW
PVD-MEM on NW
PVD-STL on SW or AA RJ
Year round charters/ flights via either Air Luxor or SATA to the Azores.

Thats the wish list I wouldnt call any of those far-fetched, but some more likely than others.

Experience is what you get when what you thought would work out didn't!

YOW-CLE
YOW-DFW
YOW-CVG
YOW-LAX and/or SFO
YOW-Florida on a year-round basis
YOW-YYT

YOW-YYG

I'd also like to see the return of these routes someday:

GOA to LHR (only LGW served but there isn't any intercontinental connection)
GOA to AMS for the large network
GOA to AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA (only MUC is served but for many flight you had to have two stops GOA MUC AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA .....)
GOA to BCN
GOA to MAD
and an ntercontinental flight : I think that the DL NCE JFK could be operated as well from GOA.

OK, Erj170

Let's request for a MEX-RDU.

Now tell me, because I've never been to Raleigh, what is it like? Good market? Lots of Mexicans over there?

Erj170, I really would love to get an answer.

Thanks a lot.

"Let's request for a MEX-RDU.

I am also from the RDU area and can tell you that there is an ever-increasing number of Hispanics moving into the Triangle Area - Lots of migration for purposes of farming jobs, textile jobs and general blue collar work. North Carolina has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations of any of the contiguous 48 with the exception of border states. A single round-trip between RDU and MEX would be a money-maker for whichever carrier decided to give the routing a chance.
Oh how I miss Midway Airlines. A class act right to then end.

Birmingham U.K has to be one of the most underserved airports in western Europe, The U.K's second city and we only have one transatlantic flight a day!

This is my wish list!

BHX-IAH/ORD/OS / KBOS), USA - Massachusetts">BOS/JFK, CO/AA/UA/BA
BHX-YYZ, AC
BHX-DEL/BOM, AI/BA OR BD
BHX-KHI (regular service! we get ISB/LHE), BA OR PK

BHX-LOS, BA/BD/VS
BHX-MXP/CO / LIRF), Italy">FCO, AZ
BHX-VIE, OS
BHX-HEL, AY

I suppose the list is endless, but I think some of the above should really be a reality, mainly, HEL,VIE,MXP/CO / LIRF), Italy">FCO, AUH, KHI,DEL/BOM,AMM

In addition to the city pairs Jeffie813 mentioned out of PBI, we also need PBI-MDW, PBI-STL, PBI-MHT. After Scripps Institute opens next year, we probably will need PBI-SAN.

Njdevilsin03:

FLL has daily (ex. Tuesday) service, non-stop to SYR on TransMeridian Airlines. They may not be US or B6, although I suspect the latter to enter the market sooner rather than later (eg. shortly after the 190's arrive). You'll most likely see a slew of new routes on B6 from FLL (as well as a plethora of other cities), once the nice little toy jets arrive  Big grin.
