yesterday a BA747 land in LIS.
do yow know why?
i think this is her first time in LIS. BA usually came to LIS with a 737 or 757.

Yes they are flying 747's to Faro and Lisbon for Euro 04 during the summer season.

Go Fly did STN-LIS without success and AB Airlines did LGW-LIS, TAP also now do LGW-LIS aswell as LHR-LIS, BA no longer do LGW-LIS, I think it has to do with airport fees and subsidies to TAP.

There are no subsidies to TAP. There were in the past (4 or 5 years ago) under a recovery plan authorized by the EU Commission. Since then the portuguese government is no longer authorized to give any subsidie to TAP. And guess what..... In a tough market, with events like 9/11, SARS, Economic ressession, etc. and with a strategy to improve the profitable routes like Brazil and Africa, TAP made a profit in 2003. More, what was paid in taxes over this years is more than the subsidie received.
Next time, inform ourself better before making this type of comments.

Go Fly and AB Airlines were operating to LIS 4 or 5 years ago so the comment about subsidies is relevant.

Probably a crew run. BA's online schedule shows 744's operating additional flights during Mid June from LHR-LIS for Euro 2004
