Euro 2004 - Portugal

Sat Jun 12, 2004 12:24 am

Hi everyone

The Euro 2004 starts tomorrow and the traffic at the airports has increased with several flights with football fans.

Some rarities have landed in Lisbon, yesterday I saw a JAL B747 flying over Tejo river (surely the Japanese passengers had a magnificent view of Lisbon) and today I saw a B747 from BA landing in Lisbon also (usually they use a B757 and A320).

The show is about to begin and let's hope Portugal wind the Euro Cup.

Viva Portugal!!!!! 2004 is the year for Portuguese soccer! Just like how Porto won the Club European Champion, they will pull it off on their home turf!

There must be a lot of excitement at Portela Airport with all those 747s. Recently, there was a pic of a TAP 747 in vintage colors... and it was so beautiful. I also miss the L1011...
Airbus or Boeing - it's all good to me!

Sadly LH keeps bringing their usual A300s/A321s from F R A and MUC to LIS.  Sad Seems like the german fans know they wouldn´t have fun for too long  Yeah sure

I'm off tomorrow (12th) to support Scotland......... Sad I wish. Ah well, the atmosphere around Faro will be good and hopefully there will be more interesting a/c than my MYT A320 (think its an A320).

Hi,

I hope Portugal win the Euro Cup, anyway, I’m fascinated with the organization demonstrated by Portugal, until the moment, all the teams are already here, and NOTHING as failed, I was on Greece a few weeks ago, and the Olympic games are a big failure  Wow! , Portugal is demonstrating that is a Big and modern country Yawn.

After that, I hope everything goes very good until the end, and Portugal already win the Euro Cup, the Organization, and the opportunity to demonstrate to all world see Great Responsible and Modern Country, is the best win.

Anyway I want a football win too…. Big thumbs up Big thumbs up

Regards

Yeah...what a crock of shit. I watched every game of the 1998 WC, 2002 WC, and the 2002 Euro. Now I cant even watch the 2004 Euro from one of my favorite countries and that actually has teams I would watch....

b/c as we all know, the MLS sucks.

My opinions of course...dont have to agree!

I'm extremely jealous of anybody who will be there to take in the festivities, the fun, the action, and of course, the plane spotting  Big grin that will be in Portugal thanks to the Euro. This will also be great for tourism in general to Portugal.

Oh yeah, and FORCA PORTUGAL!

Hi!

I was in FAO last Friday and I tell you, it was S. Petersburg day with all those charters from Russia!!!!! Lots of TU154's, IL62's and even a IL96 and a TU204. Besides that there was an Air Moldova A320 and the private 737-700 BBJ from Mr. Abramovich!!!!
It was wild at FAO, absolutely wild!!!!

Hi!

Now that we are talking about who is gonna win the EURO 2004, well beeing portuguese I should support my country Portugal, and I'm of course but.... I still don't see them with the will to win, but after the game with Russia I'll see if I change my view or not. From those teams that I've seen Swedes and the Dannish really look great! Maybe the Cup goes again to Scandinavia!!!

For the flights, look at http://www.ana-aeroportos.pt which unfortunately does not show aircraft types.
I scratch my head, therefore I am.
