I forgot to ask when I started this thread. Is this a rerun? I just recently got cable so I have not seen too many of these shows.

It is a repeat that was first aired last Wednesday night.

It's a rather boring show.

If you've seen any of the recent Concorde flicks on TLC/Discovery since the crash and the retirement, this documentary will do nothing for you.

It's essentially a clip job, with the last 15minutes showing Concorde floating on a boat (in like fashion to the A380 parts-delivery shows of late).

...nothing new, nothing interesting. And that's coming from me  Sad

My first time seeing it. A nice farewell. Was enlightened by the clips that went into the political motivation as to build or not to build, and to let it fly or not to fly. If it was not allowed to enter US airspace, would it have lived for so long? I don't think so. A beautiful airplane, a tragic end, but hopefully, a foreshadowing of things to come. I live between the Statue Of Liberty and Newark Liberty International Airport, so I will have plenty of time to go and see Alpha-Delta. When I do, I will say hello for all of you on A.net that cannot be there.

It was so so and the like above the last 15 mins are the best part.

I did find it interesting about why the aircraft sat off center on the barge (bridges).

If any wants to see a good Concorde video visit www.itvv.co.uk they have a very good flight video about the Concorde. But I warn everyone be prepared to take the day off from work to watch it because its 5 hours long, but very cool. Big thumbs up PS: thats 2 V's in ITVV not a W.
Airplanes are only as good as the people who fly&fix them.

I can certainly also recommend the ITVV production (it should be available in NTSC now as well), filmed in August 1996, it's certainly detailed.
Also worth a look on DVD is the Fast Forward production, Concorde, 27 Years Of Supersonic Flight, basically a combination of previous productions looking at the BA operation in 1999 then another in late 2001, with a bonus of a detailed depiction of the last Round The World charter in late 1999, the last of it's type (which was apparent at the time it operated in October-November '99).

There will be another show about the Concorde at 1:00PM today, Sunday, but it will be shared with Marconi. I think it will deal more with its impact on society, politically and environmentally.
