Delta Shuttle
Hey everyone! I'm takin my first ever Delta Shuttle Flight on Aug 02 from LGA to DCA and was wondering what the perks were on it. I know when they used the 738s, there was extra legroom, tvs, leather seats and standard drink service. What is it like now on the 733s? I don't care about TVs or service much but is there still the extra legroom and leather seats? I really wanted to experience this if it still was being offered. Only pic I could find of the 733 shuttle aircraft was:

While the Shuttle 737-300s don't have the drop-down LCDs, they do have leather seats with 36" of legroom, airphones and dataports. As for the service, I'm pretty sure that they still serve a snack (NOT the usual Delta snack mix) on every flight along with complimentary wine and beer.

Leather seats - yes. Extra Legroom - yes. Complimentary Wine/Beer - yes. Should you have chosen DL Shuttle? No.
Planes are old. Crews have attitude. Marine Air Terminal is nothing more than a bus station.
US is the way to go on this route. I'd even go AA Eagle before DLS.

I have to disagree with that sweeping generalization. Some of the Shuttle crews I have met have been quite nice and professional. They seems to expect you to hurry a little more when boarding, but that is the idea behind the, shuttle. It is supposed to be as quick and efficient as operations permit.
Many of them are quite proud of the Shuttle product, and justifiably so, I think.

Again, that is the whole idea behind the shuttle concept. You can walk up at almost any time and know that another will be along shortly.
I wouldn't disparage a product for doing what it was intended to do, even if I don't like it. I just wouldn't use it.

Gotta agree with you here. The DL Shuttle product is great, especially due to the Marine Air Terminal. Much more efficient than the standard LGA terminals. I fly both, and I think they are both great. However, on US, you sometimes get bogged down in normal LGA ops.

I have flown the DL Shuttle 2x, in the last few months. The service on board is nothing special, though I doubt the people flying it are looking for much in terms of service. My first trip from LGA, to BOS was on a Friday morning. We were given a raisin bagel, butter on the side. Drink choice was optional. On the return flight, which was on Saturday night, we were given Jetblue like biscotti, with whatever drink we wanted (beer is extra) This weekend I flew back to Boston, Saturday AM departure, returned Monday afternoon. On Saturday am we were given a drink, along with biscotti. This afternoon, we were given a drink, along with a bag of pretzels. As for comfort level, I did get a chance to ride on the Shuttle 737-800 today, as it was operating an extra segment. Apart from the drop down TV's, and overall newness, it wasn't much more comfortable. Though I was excited about my first 737-800 trip. Both planes to me provide ample legroom, and good comfort levels.

Mcmahonsmr - I don't know why you are so biased against DL Shuttle. Marine Terminal is not bad at all. It's a freakin' 45 minute flight, why would you care if it's a 733 vs. US Air's A319??
Also, if you prefer an RJ to a mainline jet, then you are smoking something good!!

Thanks guys! I didn't really have a choice of what I took from LGA to DCA because I'm flying back on a day trip I'll be taking to LGA that I paid for via Delta Skymiles and they don't give u many direct options. So... I have to fly Delta Shuttle to DCA and then COMAIR ALL THE FREAKIN WAY FROM DCA TO MCO!
