UA 744 Reg # & ATA L1011 @LAX.

Sun Jul 11, 2004 8:44 am

I am in need of the reg # from the United flight I took July 4th. It was UA120 ORD-LAX on a 744. I couldn't read the reg # either time . This was my first time on a 747,so I would like to know which one it was .
Also, while at the In-N-Out on Sepulveda (great spot) I saw a ATA L1011 parked in the distance. The tail was all blue, but it still had ATA titles on the fuselage. It sat there for a few days.
Thanks for any reg help,UA employees.

FLT 120 that day was a LAX-ORD. The A/C nose number for that FLT was 8121 the reg# for that plane is N121UA. All with United all eastbound flts are even numbers and westbound flts are always odd.

The ATA a/c is either 188AT (an L1011-50) or 163AT (an L1011-500). The -50 tail may still have partial "wave" logo from its previous use on ATA's Hawaiian service; the -500 now has the full blue tail.

I saw the Tristar yesterday and today and got to see it depart this morning. Hopefully it wasn't the last time I'd ever see one flying... Crying
