Seems to me a bit sad to hear that
QX is doing away with that seat pitch advantage : - /
Q400's not a wide or tall fuselage tube at all -- to some extent it needs every little bit of extra space to create an illusion of overall roominess.
But oh well -- I guess
QX must at least be happy with the aircraft and its customer response so far with them, to go ahead with this extra packing move. Hope it works out.
As for Bombardier I hope if they do indeed stick around for the long haul and come up with some brand-new airliners, that at least a few of 'em will be something like a Q400 but with a truly-roomier, E170-style fuselage instead.
