Anyone know how CO is doing on IAH-GRU, are loads good? Is the route a money maker? Also do you think IAH-GRU could go 764 all yr round?

I was under the impression that 764's were acquired mainly for trans-continental routes but I may be wrong (probably that was DL's purpose of getting the type, not CO's). In any case, I would assume that the loads and the margins are fine.

The 764's were acquired specifically to replace the DC-10 on international routes. The CO DC-10's sat about 240, the new 764's seat 235. I believe that they both had about the same number of BusinessFirst seats.

The route is most likely a moneymaker, because CO has been flying it consistently for the past few years.

Are the loads strong on this route? Is the route a good performer in Latin America, or systemwide? Anybody know the load factor on that route? Also could the route ever go to 764 year round? Ive tried to go on the route standby a few times, and never been able to. Just curious as to how IAH-GRU performs for CO.

yes it is a very good route for us, when the seasons change it will return to a 764..............but load factors are high!!!
