Yes, they are and they are doing good on their new service from ROC-FLL & TPA. I am really looking forward to see how is load factor doing goes on this year and Ryan will probably know about with their load factor at work. It is never to made with their new service from ROC-FLL before, either. This is one of first time on their new flight to FLL.

I think it's just a matter of time. They will cover the long western routes first, after that, they will go to where capacity is needed. I wouldn't be surprised to see one as a tag off a western run soon (similar to DEN-ATL-MCO). From what I've heard they could use the extra seats in PHL.

So either they put ferry tanks in her or FL's 717s are HGW all the way. Does anyone know which is the case?
Neither. Without the weight of passengers and cargo, as the previous poster stated, the aircraft has significantly greater range.

According to Airtran.com, there are 4 daily flights from BUF to ATL. They are 6:25 am, 11:59 am, 2:05 pm, and 7:55 pm.

1) The economy is doing just fine, thank you. 3.2% growth is much better than what we were experiencing at the end of the Clinton Administration, and is some of the best growth we've seen since. I think the worst thing our economy suffers from right now is high fuel prices.
Lets say, 4 years ago you were making 100K/year but only had a 1% raise. This year you're making 60K/year but getting a 3.2% raise. Which scenario do you think it's better? By the way, that's pretty close to the situation of most people I worked with 4 years ago.
My point is, just because the current growth is higher doesn't make it good or better, by any stretch of the imagination. When you hit rock bottom, which we have, there's no other place to go but up. Anyone who thinks the economy is better today than it was 4 years ago, is down right dilusional.

As for the Gate situation in FLL I don't think they are having trouble right now. They use gates E2, E4 and during the day they can basically have E6 as well. E6 and E8 are used by Bahamasair and Southeast but SOutheast flights RON they don't usually come in during the day. But Airtran has 2 gates at all times and sometimes uses more.

Last time I was at MCO, DL had an enormous amount of gates that they were not using and I think USAir is the same way. The problem is that neither of these carriers use the same Airside as FL, and I think Southwest has taken up all the available gates that FL used to own and probably would like to have back. Have there been any changes down there?

I flew into Akron/Canton for the first time this June... Seriously cramped conditions in the check-in area. AirTran line out the door, Northwest had a long line too, and United Express over in the corner, blocked by the line of AirTran pax. UEX passengers had to say "excuse me" 60 times to get through the FL line to get to the United counter.
The check-in area seems to have been designed for RJ operations, not the "massive" 717...

PHF going to 3 nonstops daily. Interesting, as their billboard off of I-64 in Newport News has said that they have already been offering "daily nonSTOPS in New York" for months now. Any chance we could see a 73G here in the future?
