Emirates Airlines Font

Fri Aug 06, 2004 6:34 am

Does anyone know what the Emirates Airlines font is and if it is downloadable anywhere?

I would love to type up essays and other papers with it. I have the British Airways font already which is great.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

There have topics, and numerous airlines' font were named.

You used to be able to get a VS-99.9%-look-a-like here: http://www.v-flyer.com, but I can no longer find it, but perhaps someone from V-Flyer will be able to help you.

The other font that VS' uses is called EuroStyle, which is identical to the common EuroStile font.

BA's font was a custom design called "Mylius", and if you ask the right people, you might be able to get it.  Wink/being sarcastic

If you want the Mylius font download the BA electronic timetable for the website and it will install it automatically.

I heard that no longer happens, but things could have changed since then.

Ah okay SafetyDude. Thanks for the V-Flyer website, I've never seen it before, looks nifty.

Any idea what the MEA font is? It's not really exciting, looks like a modified Times New Roman.

I downloaded the Virgin Atlantic font, but couldn't figure out how to install it. Does anyone know how? And besides the timetable, where else do you get the British Airways font?

If you have Windows, you need to just click-and-drag the font into the "Fonts" folder in "Control Panel". If you have a Mac, I believe that you are out of luck.

And besides the timetable, where else do you get the British Airways font?
You have to ask around.

Note: You need to scroll down just a bit to find it.

Since Emirates is a 40% owner of Sri Lankan and the name change/color as per Emirates,no wonder the color schemes look like twins!

Well, I doubt that airlines like seeing people using their fonts.

I like the SriLankan Airlines one as well  Big grin

After a bit of research, SriLankan uses a variation of Eras. I cannot seem to find the specific variation, but most people will not know the difference.
