I believe N133DN is the last 767 in widget form. About 2 weeks ago I flew out of ATL and noticed it sitting outside TOC. Seems like a bad sign, I'm guessing she's getting repainted?
Didn't I see on here a few weeks back that DAL was down to just a small hand full of MD-80's in 'Widget'..?? I saw one here in Nashville on Saturday...still pretty cool looking. Is DAL repainting the '97' scheme too...? I seem to be seeing less and less of them as time goes on here in BNA.
I also saw a DAL 767-300 in town to pick-up the Falcons after their game with the Titans and an American Eagle CRJ...!! Both rare here.

The MD-11 ship 802 parked at ATL TOC probably won't fly again. The heat treatment of the rear spar was affected by the fire. I don't think a final decision has been made but unless Delta finds someone to take over the lease and pay for the repairs it'll sit there until it's scrapped.
My mom flew on 133 (I think) around a year ago, and it was DIRTY!!!! I like the Widget and all, but, unfortunantly, the planes in Widget need new paint jobs BADLY! I think they should repaint the widget on the planes and not worry about new colors.
Thank God the days of the old widget livery are numbered. I understand that many people are fond of the old paint scheme, but lets face it, image is everything to an airline. The old widget scheme is very outdated, which gives the image of Delta having old aircraft.
And here is one of Delta's first classic 767 widgets. Probably one of the most beautiful Delta aircraft photos I have ever seen. Delta certainly has not been that classic airline in a long time. Hopefully that will change with the upcoming reorganization announcement that will be released soon. Good bye to the Widget and hopefully hello to a new and better Delta.
D950 - Regarding MD-80s in the Widget scheme: I might be off base here, but if the planes are new enough, maybe they are waiting for them to go through D-checks before repainting? Especially considering their current financial status?
