Thunder Of Niagra 2004 Airshow

Fri Aug 20, 2004 8:57 am

Unfortunately I am not going to make it to Chicago this weekend for one of my favorite airshows. As an alternative, I am thinking about flying into Niagra International next weekend for the Thunder of Niagra but have no idea how good this show is. They have the Blue Angels, by far the best act in the world, but what about the rest? Any input on how good the show is would be appreciated??

So what are your opinion guys?

I think very well prepared show BUT... How could they not change a schedule on Sunday and fly Blue Angels earlier knowing what happened on Sat and knowing the forecast for Sun afternoon? It was so disappointing. I was there both days and both days Angels had to cancel their show.

I enjoyed it anyway. Many interesting static aircraft - apart from what was already mentioned we had F-15,2 F-18 (Sat only),2 A-10, KC-135, Su-26 and many more. F-16 had even sidewinders on it. Lot of shots in the upload queue  Big grin

I left around 2 Sat and it poured all the way home . At least I got to walk thru the Fed Ex 727 twice . Also went thru the 732 trainer. I didn't see a B52,though . The C141 & C17 was cool along with the KC135R .
Too bad it rained,I really wanted to see the Angels ...
