WN As Prey?

Tue Sep 28, 2004 12:08 pm

Did anybody read the article in USAtoday? The article about the CEO Kelly and airlines that are targeting WN? Who and what cities are these airlines targeting WN. They aren't refereeing to B6 in PHX are they? That is a joke in itself. So if anybody knows, I didn't get a chance to finish or read the article.

The only targeting of Southwest I've heard about is by fatties wanting to blame Southwest for their their misfortune.

The only true way I can see a legacy target WN is if they put 100's of fatties on the payroll and put them on WN flights.. then they can perpetually sue them back to profitability.

Now I'll let you all soak up my genius.

MILEMASTER.....YOU NEED TO BE SLAPPED AND HARD!!!!

Why? He's right.

"People of size" have been attempting to sue WN for their policy on purchasing extra seats, which is one most carriers have mirrored. WN is just more vocal about the existence of their policy, and as such they get targeted.

Why? He is just saying what everyone else is thinking. There is no way an airline can profitably attack WN and win. None. Think about it, you have to compete against a winning strategy and highly desired brand. They only way to do that is peanut fares and dumping capacity on routes, which is not profitable.

That means the only way to win is to barrage them with lawsuits.
Keep on truckin'...

I agree with Milemaster, who the hell wants to sit next to a fat person in the middle seat on a 3 hour flight? I'd rather jump outta the plane with no chute on. Make them buy two tickets.

WOW, didn't think this would turn into a fat person vs a skinny person on a trans-con.

To all:

Maybe WN should buy a couple of the 73G combis that Boeing makes for the USN and market those for transporting all the porkers who bitch.

Let'em take the train...
