Hi all....
ITS THE 'SAY GOODBYE TO KLM BBQ'
Im thinking about something to do for the departure of KLM out of MSP on 10/30. At this point KLM is scheduled to bring its last MSP MD-11 flight in on 10/30 and return to AMS that night until who knows how long. SO... what im proposing is that we have a BBQ. Following the BBQ, well see KLM depart and then by that time leave. Daylight savings time is that following night so we wont be standing in the dark(not even close) BBQing. Weather wont be a factor as were hearty Minnesotans and Viking tailgating can go into January (not like the weather is bad that time of year anyways). IM going to check with MAC to see if we can BBQ at post road, if not we'll go somewhere close like Bosen Field or the like (guaranteed to have good plane views though). If were going to do this I need another person to coordinate with here in MSP that will involve contact outside of a.net. If we can get the commitment from people, i think this would be an awesome event. Ive bounced the idea off of a few of you and the idea seems really well received. POST YOUR THOUGHTS !!!!!!!!!!!

NOt sure exactl when it will be but it will most likely be before the departure of KL668. KL668 leaves about 6:00pm

We need more people if we want to have a BBQ party. Otherwise its just the three of us, we'll meet for an hr to say goodbye to KLM at MSP.

Too bad this couldnt happen on Sunday the 31st or I'd fly up on one of those lil MD80 lookin America West Express CRJs

Due to cruddy weather forecast for MSP, and lack of support, this will be a spotting of the final KL MSP flight only. Plans at this point include grabbing something to eat at the end. Im planning on being out there at about 5:00PM for the 6:00 launch of KL668 to AMS. Look for the silver Grand Am with the Yakima rack on top. Im thinking something like this might work waaaay better in the spring when its sunny and warm.
