That is surprising. Even though the plane was fully loaded, she would need very little fuel to make it the 40 minutes to
IAH. I have seen
UA 744s flying
LAX-
DEN take off short of where the
WN 737s were taking off. It was funny, as the
WN 73Gs were showing off their performance with 6,000 foot take offs, and this massive jumbo did it in 5500. Why would the 777 (especially a
CO ER model with the high power engines) have a problem.

Massive Fog, combined with the fact that Houston is the most polluted city in the US
