Thanks September. I will transfer the information from that post to help the discussion here:

Quoting Qqflyboy from AA Airbus 300 Thread (reply 26):
As far as refurbishing the A300s goes, the ones with the new interiors are the former three-class airplanes that flew to Europe

So there are about 10 out of 34 AA A30ss that have the new interior.

Now...does anyone know which 10 they are and which routes (if any in particular) that they serve?

Will the remaining 24 odd A300s be upgraded?

I just got off an AA A300 from SJU-BOS a few minutes ago. It had the "new" seat covers but the old first class seats. On the way down last Friday, the plane had the new interiors. The seats had leather headrests, flat-screen TV's in the ceiling, and better business class seats. Those headrests really make the seats more comfortable. I couldn't get the reg. numbers though.

Ren41... you saw exactly how the A300 fleet will remain until it's retired. The ten converted from three-class to two-class have new interiors, while the remaining 24 will simply get new seat covers in coach and new carpet.

Below are pictures of the interior of AA's A300s. The first one depicts the new first class cabin in one of the ten newly refurbished aircraft.

This picture shows the old first class interior. Even when the remaining birds get new seat covers and carpet, the first class cabin will still look like this, no new seat covers here.

Below is the old coach cabin. Again, this cabin is slowly getting slight improvements: new seat covers and carpet, but nothing else.

Hopefully someone will get a photo of the new coach cabin in the database, as well as pics of the modified coach cabin, ie, new seat covers, old seats.

Here's a comparison between the old vs. new in AA's A300's coach cabin.

The old light blue seats with the bulky TV's.

The nicer, new blue seats with the LCD screens.
