THY And JAT To OSL!

Wed Mar 16, 2005 6:16 am

I read on the OSL website that these two airlines will start services to Oslo - Gardermoen (OSL) this summer from Istanbul and Belgrade  Smile

Does anyone have any further information about frequencies and times?

TK should start twice a week and then go upto three times a week soon.

THY system does not show the exact days yet.

It seems lots of airlines are showing increasing interest in Oslo, except of course, SAS who has neglected international services from Oslo in favour of Copenhagen and Stockholm for years!

It seems like JAT will fly on wednesdays, with 733 equipment with 1 stop. The flight arrives at Oslo at 13.40, leaves at 14.30. Flight number JU394/395

On fridays 733 will arrive at 11.30 and leave at 12.20 JU386/387. Again with one stop.

I assume the stopover is in CPH.

JAT has not served Oslo in a very long time, and after commencing Basle services earlier, this will be the third new destination, together with the activation of flights to Kuwait on March 27.

Also, the first of the new planes should start arriving at JAT in June according to a statement issued yesterday by the Minister for Capital Investments, still no idea on the type though... Id' guess its either the EMB-170, B738, A319 and/or B762ER.

Also a small correction, JAT is no longer Yugoslav Airlines, now just simply known as Jat Airways...

JoKeR,

If they manage to get their delivery this year, it will be the Embraer 170. We will have to wait and see.

Pozdrav

Thats quite an impressive list. I am absolutely stunned with PIA though! WOW!

If only Ottawa would have this many carriers, it would be great!

Cheers

Quoting Orion737 (Reply 9):

SAS is not neglecting Oslo, it is the company SAS Braathens, a company in SAS Airline who neglect new international flights from Oslo. Only intercontinental flights (Northamerica and Asia) are desided in SAS International, European flights are desided in SAS Braathens, SAS Sweden and SAS Denmark. SAS Sweden have started new direct european routes from Stockholm, instead of going through CPH, some have been closed and some are still working. That is why SAS was divisioned into 4 divisions last year.
