American flt. 50 from DFW-LGW has diverted to JFK, and is now approaching the airport. Does anyone know what happened that caused them to divert? It appears they made it to northern New York, but then made a hard right down to JFK.

Just listening to the JFK tower. No unusual transmissions during landing. Once they switched over to ground, tower gave AAL50 clearance to the ramp. Then the ground controller asked, "AA 50, where we you originally headed?" Reply from the cockpit was a quick and terse "Ah, London. London-Gatwick."

Might have been a medical or unruly passenger. If it was more serious, you would think they would have gone to ALB or somewhere in upstate New York.
