Can anyone confirm that IAH-GRU has been upgraded to 764 year round? It appears to be on the system as far out as ive checked. Does anyone have an idea how much money CO bring in on the IAH-GRU flights? How do the IAH-GRU flights compare to other international money makers for CO? Also, does anyone know the aproximate percentage of passengers is on the IAH-GRU route that is originating in Houston, versus connecting passengers? Thanks so much, also any other information you all would have regarding the IAH-GRU flight would be appreciated.

thanks everyone

Hmmm... I'm not familar with the service, but I can add to that "other information" part:

This flight is one of the three flights leaving USA/Canda to Brazil west of the Mississippi, the other 2 being RG's LAX-GRU and AA's DFW-GRU. So I bet they have good loads and raises the possibility of lot's of connecting pax.

Maybe MAH4546 can help out on this one, he knows lot's about US carriers services to anywhere  Smile

Cheers and sorry for not being much of a help with your questions,

Edit: Typo (guess what word  Wink )

Well for what it is worth, which is little, but heh-
A good college friend works for the Brasilian Consulate in Houston and he was telling me about helping people get seats on this flight from IAH-- and it is supposedly often filled because they have to help folks find hotels for later flights. Not much but enjoy.
On a sidenote I am going to Brasil in September for the first time since living in Rio de Janeiro back in 80-81. I can't wait Big grin and yes I am taking the CO flight.

From what I understand the flight has been upgraded from a 767-200 to a 767-400 permanently. The loads also seem to very good ( kind of obvious with the increase in seats though).
