Well, they got what they wanted, an increase in the $$ they get to go there. I guess if you start to complain and threaten to pull out, you can open up the bidding process and get the status quo for more money.
This is a disservice to the people in Pendleton and Eastern Oregon. You can bet that just before this two year period ends, Horizon will employ the same "we're pulling out in 30 days unless we get more $$" tactics. I say, pull out and deploy the plane where you can make $$ without our tax dollars paying for 10 people a day* to fly from
PDT.
*- Not actual number, just a made up amount. But it ain't much!
For a city of less than 20,000, they should have 2 Metros or BE1900s to
PDX and nothing more.
Seems to me they couldn't care less to serve the Eastern Oregon regional Airport.
