Korean Air Introduces New Gianfranco Ferre Uniform

Ia Orana All !!!

After its partner Air France and Delta presented their new uniform it is now Korean Air's turn to introduce a new look for its employees.
The Asian carrier is set to soar with italian designer Gianfranco Ferre light blue and beige uniform.
Mentioned in the article is the introduction of dress pants for female flight attendants which is a first in Korea !
The new image will be introduced worldwide from October 2005.

Just my opinion but I think the turquoise blazer on turquoise combination looks like an overkill. The beige blazer on turquoise looks more acceptable .. Is it me or do these uniforms remind me of MEA's uniforms ...

I'm flying Korean in Late April (from Sydney) - after coming from PPT - So I can check out the new AF uniforms, and the soon to be replaced KE uniforms. AF Crew - do you post over in Flyertalk? If so, I've sent you a Message over there!

Ewwww, this will rank up there with EVA's old green and orange uniforms. I fly KE about 3 times a year to CGK from ATL. I am not sure I will look at these uniforms.

KE is making Asiana uniforms look better and better.

ugh. i agree, looks like the new MEA uniforms.

turquoise is tough color to pull off. the uniforms are definitely greener than the aircraft.

DL released the design of the new uniforms a few months back during Fashion Week in NYC. They will start wearing them in Early 2006 I believe.

Ok DL cant make up its mind on aircraft liveries and now they cant make up their minds on the uniform? Sounds like a trend is going on.

By the way, what will the DL uniform look like anyway? Whats wrong with the current uniform they are wearing now?

I quite like this uniform, it is very "asian clean". It really suits KE, I was wondering when they were going to change that 80's looking uniform. The poor girls looked like they never actually been to the 90's and we are in 2005 !!!
Now that looks cleaner, sharper, granted the colours are unusual but they go with the colour scheme of the carrier.
The only problem I see with this uniform is how dirty they will look as the colours are very soft...

Why don't Skyteam create a common uniform but with individual accessories such as scarfs, badges and caps? It would save a lot of money? Who cares if the inflight employees are in beige or dark blue?

Really nice uniform. I like it, it looks classy. Mind you after all the terrible t-shirts/sweatshirts worn by lo-co cabin crews any 'proper' uniform looks good to me.

Nice to see some airlines investing in their cabin crew uniforms.

Come on, it looks better than Asiana - that one's horrible!! Speaking of 2005, what's with the scarves? THAT makes me think of the 70's. Even Fred on Scooby Doo doesn't wear one anymore...
