I recall Northwest used to fly Minneapolis to Norway, Copenhagen I think. It may have been one of their first transatlantic routes. May seem strange until you learn of all the Scandinavians in Minnesota, Yeah, Sure, Youbetchya!

Copenhagen is in Denmark. Perhaps you are thinking of Oslo, Norway.

AA also used to have an LGW flight from BOS. LGW just can't seem to win from BOS!

Let me add a list for Delta:
From ATL to: VIE, IST, ATH, HAM
From BOS to: LGW (as already mentioned)
From CVG to: ZRH, MUC
From FRA to: LAX, MCO, DFW, IAD
From DTW to: LGW
From JFK to: MAN, DUB, SNN, LIS, ZRH, STR, HAM, WAW, PRG, CAI, TLV, ARN, CPH, OSL, HEL, LYS
That should be it. Not included are tag-on segments in Europe.

I am sure that there has been a thread about this before somewhere...

Delta used to fly MIA-LGW and MIA-FRA and Continental used to fly MIA-LGW. In the early 1980s, Northwest announced MIA-CPH-OSL, but, IIRC, the flight never started.

National used to fly from Miami to Frankfurt, London, Zurich, Amsterdam and Paris.

Air Florida used to fly Miami to London, Madrid, Shannon, Amsterdam and Brussels nonstop with one stop flights to Zurich, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf.

Pan Am once flew Miami to Madrid, prior to inheriting NA's flights from Miami to London, Paris and Frankfurt.

Eastern flew from Miami to Gatwick and had announced plans to fly to Madrid before shelving them.

Delta once flew from Orlando to Paris and Frankfurt.

Pan Am flew Orlando-Frankfurt for one summer.

Or was it from LGW like the US flight to PIT used to be?

You are correct sir, it was Boston to Santa Maria on TW. I believe they also had service to Shannon from BOS as well. Both were serviced with 707's and dropped in the early to mid 70's, IIRC..

AA to MAN from JFK and DFW
Air Florida to MAN from Miami

BA from MAN: LAX, MCO, YUL, ORD, YYZ (latter three were often shared with PIK).

Not sure exactly which destinations GK served (JFK & MIA seem to be ones I remember)

Are including the Caribbean? If so, BA to BGI, JM to MBJ/KIN, (BW to POS/BGI), CU to Havana.

Pan Am also used to fly a 707 from Boston to Santa Maria, with the flight continuing on to Lisbon, and either Rabat or Casablanca, Morroco (I think Rabat was temporary while the Casablanca airport was being redone). I want to say it was PA153/154 but I am not sure. Think it operated twice a week.

Transatlantic routes that USAir or US Airways have discontinued are:

BOS-FRA
BWI-LGW
CLT-CDG
PHL-BRU
PIT-CDG/FRA/LGW
I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.
