Quoting FlyAUA (Reply 2):
Those are the new type of top-secret Airbusses buried under the ground... then at some point when the germans take over the sky, a HUGE thunderstorm will start and kill all elecromagnetic devices while bolts of lightning plant pilots into those aircraft. Then they will start tearing up the ground while they emerge from underneath and fly to Seattle destroying everything at the Boeing plant with their powerful lasers until the world is left with nothing but Airbus aircraft that have LH tails on them.
Quoting Sabena332 (Reply 3):
It's the entrance of the LH offices in Frankfurt, a few meters away from the airport.
Quoting GodBless (Reply 8):
The tail was actually a gift from Airbus to Lufthansa back when the remaining government shares in the airline were sold and LH became a fully private airline. That was October 13th, 1997, if I remember correct.
The tail never belonged to D-AIAL.

BTW: one thing to note.... in the pic of the LH tail... did anyone else notice the Mercedes Benz Taxi? I rode in a couple in Germany, too, we DEFINITELY need to get on that bandwagon back in the states... screw those old crown vics!
Quoting VS74741R (Reply 20):
I think KaiGywer was only saying that it's an A300 tail, not the tail from D-AIAL
Quoting Burnsie28 (Reply 30):
Didnt see that one coming, and yet Airbus denies the tail just fell off.
Quoting GMUAirbusA320 (Reply 9):
To quote Paris Hilton...THAT'S HOT!!
Can I get one of those for my front yard?
Quoting Hailstone (Reply 27):
trust that some LH people out there can confirm that prior to the a300 tail being put in front of the office at LH FRA on 'airportring' there was a 707 tail at the very same location
Quoting GodBless (Reply 34):
Wasn't the Super Connie where today there is the gas station, which u pass when leaving P4?
Quoting PanHAM (Reply 35):
Yes, but that gas station (BP) is - like the Super Connie - no longer there. The only one left is the big essoStation at Unterschweinstiege and the one at the Ringelaube of course - exactly opposite of the Airbus tail.
