Air New Zealand Premium Economy

Which rows on the 772ER are Premium Economy seats? Also what is the actual seat pitch? It's hard to know since they give a range of 38"-40".

I currently have seats 23A, 23B and 23C booked for a trip to San Francisco later this year.

This is a pain in the arse as I can't seem to book Premium Economy online and I can only go down to the travel agents to get my seats.

I don't have the seat maps in front of me right now so I can't help you. Maybe Aerorob can help if he gets a spare 5 minutes.

Don't be such a dickhead. I do know, but cannot remember offhand. I didnt have the seatmap right in front of me, but I was letting Zeekiel know that another member may be able to help him. Get off your high horse and go back to teaching music or whatever it is you do.

Before you start giving lectures on non-relevant posts, maybe you should look at some of your own efforts over the past few weeks.

Does NZ have premium econ on their 747? Didn't they just outfit coach with PTV? My friends are moving to Auckland in 3 weeks and booked tickets on NZ, LAX-NAN-AKL.

Isn't this flight done by a 763?

Anyways, they are being PROGRESSIVELY added to the fleet and so far they've got a few of them up and running.. Totally new interiors.

I'm thinking that the 763 wouldn't be able to make a trans-pacific flight, even to NAN.

They have a layover in NAN for 4 nights for their 1st wedding anniversary.  Smile

I saw some pics of the new interiors on the 744 and they look AWESOME!

By the way, what is in front of row 23. Is it the toilets or the bulkhead behind the galley.

Indeed it is operated by 763 LAX-NAN-AKL. Each of the island hoppers are operated by 763, only the non-stoppers are 744.

On a personal note, I can't wait to see the new interiors. Hopefully I'll get lucky at the end of next month going LAX-AKL-BNE.

I might have overlooked it in previous discussions, but when can we expect to see (official) seatmaps/(more)photos of the new NZ cabins. Their web-site is not very informative (yet)  hissyfit

Of course it can make it to NAN, its only a 9 hour flight from LAX, give or take a little.

Not sure. My best mate traveled to NAN last year on a 744, it was going onward to LAX, same as on the way back.

On the old config it was the first exit row in Y so there is/was extra space for the Aisle seat, and the bulkhead seats, although the door cuts into the window seat space.. Basically on the 777 it will be 40", with the 39" seats being on the 744.

We only have SUI in service currently, and the IFE system is having a few teething problems so far.

That is probably due to your flight still being early enough on in the piece that they cannot guarantee the new aircraft on the flight yet so the old config is being sold, as not to annoy premium Y pax that pay extra, but only end up with a Y class seat. Contact NZ directly by phone is the best way to sort it out I think.

normal Y made a bigger impression on me when I sat in them than the Y+. I found the footrest when fully extended(though the partly extended footrest is very comfy) not to my liking, but yes very comfortable all the same - the recline of the seats makes up for the footrest.

So I'm sweet in regards to the 772ER, so I'll probably book row 24 then. Doesn't make much of a difference anyway.
