Any idea on what Texas is planning to fly to CMH for next Saturday's game against Ohio State?

Going off topic a bit, but technically still "football", there was a Mexicana A319 in CMH today, which I'm sure was taking home Mexico's National Soccer team after playing the U.S. last night in Columbus Crew Stadium.
It's funny when I tell people I love planes and they think I'm weird.

This should be a fun weekend for spotting at CMH. I wasn't able to get the complete list from the airport, but all I know so far is that Southwest will be flying 4 extra segments nonstop from AUS to CMH on Friday, not sure if they're flying any extra segments on Saturday. Continental is flying the Texas team in, I believe with a 757-300. Also, Continental is augmenting their schedule on Friday and Saturday from IAH from the usual 737/ERJ mix to:

Friday schedule IAH-CMH:
3x 737-900
1x 757-300

Saturday schedule IAH-CMH:
1x 737-800
1x 737-900
2x 757-300

Since flytcomm is down, I can't see if there are any independent charters going straight from Austin to either CMH or LCK. Also, with runway 28L/10R under construction in CMH, I'm wondering how Air Force One will fly into CMH, considering 28R/10L is only 8,000ft long, unless they decide to use LCK, which has dual 12,000 ft. runways.

After checking Continental's schedules again, on Saturday, Continental will also be bringing in a 737-900 from Cleveland. All flights I have posted look to still be available for booking off continental.com.

8,000 ft. is plenty for the VC-25 for a relatively short hop like ADW-CMH...

Hi!

Just to add, when I was living in Fresno the college there, Fresno State leased an ex: Airtours DC-10-10 to get to Tennesee and I also remember seeing a 727-200 with winglets that came to Fresno with a college team too, but I can't remember the name of it!

Odd, I would expect most people to drive the short distance rather than fly. I wonder how full the flight is.

Anyway, nice to see another Deacs fan posting.

I thought the same thing myself considering it is only a 2 to 3 hour drive from CLE to the Horseshoe errrr Ohio Stadium. Then again, CO must be connecting a bunch of fans via CLE, at least enought to warrant a 739.

I hesitate to think what I-71 will look like late Saturday night when all of the CLE Buckeye fans journey home to prepare for the Browns-Bengals game on Sunday.

BYU will be flying F9 A319s this season; PVU-SAN, and return NZY-PVU (due to the late night curfew at Lindburgh); also, F9 A319s to/from ABQ/LAS/LAR; and a DL 738 PVU-SBN.

In the last year or so, ND flew in/out PVU on a DL 757, and Stanford flew in on an HP A320 and out on an HP 757. 5 miles from campus on the shore of Utah Lake, PVU has become a nice alternative to SLC, located 50 miles to the north.

I'm quite surprised about Virginia Tech...I'd say it's a good 2 hour drive from Greensboro to Blacksburg, while only about 45 minutes to ROA (which should be able to handle a 757...)

Same with Liberty...I would have thought if anything they'd go up to CHO if the plane was too large for LYH...

Liberty uses Roa, Wake Forest uses INT except for long haul trips ie anything over 2 Hours or depending on weights, I think Virginia Tech uses Roa but not 100 percent sure.

When did it land?
The vandals had their F9 A319 in at 337 am last night, after a very disappointing loss to UNLV.
