The video zoomed in the cockpit and I don't see a lady in it. Just the captain which looks almost bald.

No, you don't have any idea. The pilot in command is a man, I was referring to the pilot.

The aircraft came to a rest practically dead center on the runway when it came to a stop. GREAT JOB!

I haven't been able to read the other thread so sorry if this was discussed, but how often does a problem like this happen? I know there are landing gear problems, but I had never heard of this particular problem.

Thank god everything worked well. The pilot kept the nose up for as long as possible. The wheel touched and began burning causing sparking as well as the metal touching the runway.

The plane is fine and will be flyable after it is inspected and the front landing gear assembly is replaced.

No, the main door is open and fire dept is going up the air stairs. A flight attendant greeted them.

I am surprised that they are using stairs to off-load pax, given that the gear could probably still break from stress at any time.

There's a guy with a white shirt, black pants and tie is video taping the nose gear and the air stair going to the plane with a camcorder.

Kudos to the crew for an amazing landing. Any idea what kind of damage was done to the runway surface? You can see the marks, but I wonder if its just surface marking or an actual gouge that will need to be repaired prior to reopening?

Passangers have started leaving the plane with hand luggage as far as I can see. They are walking down airstairs and into buses that are waiting. It really didn't seem necessary, at least to my untrained eyes, to use the slides. Probably more people would have got hurt going down the slides...
