YYC To CUN Tomorrow On AC 319...

Sat Oct 08, 2005 6:51 am

I'm flying from YYC to CUN tomorrow on an AC A319. Anyone here fly 5 1/2hrs on a 319 before?! Seems like a pretty small plane to serve a flight that long. I realize the range of the 319 is fine, but, that small cramped cabin is rough. I did take a WestJet 737NG last year, but we had live tv so that made it better Big grin I'm excited Big grin

I've done as far as YVR-JFK on the AC 319 and I have to say it was an excellent ride. I was in executive instead of hospitality though so that might have made a diff.

Greetings from Cancún !

I run a travel agency here and I am the N° 1 AC client in the whole of the Southeast of Mexico !

I have flown the A319 and it is all right for that kind of flight. Please remember that, once upon a time, you'd cross the Atlantic all the way from Buenos Aires to Madrid (almost 12 hours...) on a Boeing 707 which, in the late 60's would not even have in flight entertainment systems and no-one would bat an eyelid !

Hope you have a safe flight and enjoy your stay in this wonderful piece of Mexico !

I don't think you'll notice much of a difference. The A319 cabin is roughly the same as the 73NG .Yes WS does have LiveTV,but I'm not sure you will care considering where you're going!

It's okay really - i flew IAH-ANC in a 737-800 and like most people say, its not really all that different, the seats are still the same size. that flight was 7 hours 20 minutes. So i wouldnt worry too much about your flight. plus i love the A319.

Too bad you didn't get the Oasis Grande, much better than the Playa. As for the flight I had the pleasure of the same trip with AC 2 years ago, it was comfortable enough in economy. Only one downside, there is the chance if the winds aren't the greatest of a fuel stop on the way back. We stopped in Denver to refuel on the return leg. Other than that it was great!

Flew AC on YHZ-CUN last year and that was a 5:30 flight. Very comfortable. No different than any other type of a/c.
Next flights: YQM-YUL-YVR-YUL-YQM / YQM-YYZ-HKG-DXB-BCN-YUL-YQM
