Names For Virgin Atlantic's A380's

Wed Nov 09, 2005 2:26 am

Since Virgin is so creative with their names for airplanes, I wondered what they might come up with for their A380's. Here are a few of my ideas. I would love to see what other people come up with.

G-VAMZ - Amazon Queen

G-VBGR - Big Girl

G-VMTH - Mothra (the giant moth from those old Godzilla movies)

G-VDNT - Dainty (that's an ironic name)

G-VLIB - Lady Liberty (after the giant statue in NY harbour)

G-VSXY - Marilyn Monroe (a larger-than-life star)

G-VMAG - Maggie Thatcher (a larger-than-life politician)

G-VCLE - Cleopatra

G-VDDD - Buxom Lass

G-VSEX - Mae West

That's not possible since the registration will start with a "G" and not a "V". To my knowledge, all Virgin Atlantic registrations start with Golf Victor  Smile

That would be too megalomaniacal...though appropriate!

Yeah, G-VSRB would be good.

Sir Michael Bishop used to have a 737-400 with his initials, G-SMDB. Although it was known by a much cruder name within the airline.  Wink

Too bad it has to be G-Vxxx. Otherwise I have a good idea: G-SPOT  Silly (I wonder whether this registration has been used).

Last I heard, the first of Virgin's A380s will be reg'd G-VXXL, although the name they've choosen is Virgin Lady rather than Big Bertha  Wink
