Any Info On Likely Cdn Campaign A/c?

OK, at risk of starting a political debate, anyone have any info on what the leaders' campaign aircraft will or are likely to be this election? I would assume they have this lined up as the election is all but certainly imminent.

If memory serves in the last campaign it seems like there were some older a/c in play, 727s, 732s, DC9s maybe.

Does AC have some extra a/c available since it's winter season?

Any thought or direct info?

Last time the Liberals used a Starjet 727 and the NDP had an AC Jetz A320. I don't remember what the Conservatives used.

appears that at least the Cons party has an A320 I think? Somewhat more modern a/c than the last campaign 17 months ago.

Don't know what the Libs and NDP have.

I'd love to see the NDP'ers flying in the bare metal 767  Wink - saved fuel costs = more money for social spending. They don't need the fancy AC Jetz 320.

Conservatives, NDP charter AC A319s. This week, Winnipeg Heavy Maintenance installed decals on two A319 aircraft, which will take the Conservative Party and the NDP throughout the country for their respective campaigns this winter. Both parties also chose Air Canada to fly them during the last campaign in 2004. The aircraft ?FIN 288, to be used by the Conservative Party and FIN 287, to be used by the NDP ?were subsequently ferried to Ottawa when the campaign officially began on Tuesday. Both charters are being handled and operated by AC Jetz.

The Liberals are using a Starjet 727, as they did for the last election.

Just how does flying a 767, even bare metal, save fuel costs, not to mention lease cost, when compared to an A320?

Get real.
