Thomas Cook A320 To Condor...

Thu Dec 08, 2005 6:31 pm

A single A320 (G-TCKE) is to transfer from Thomas Cook to Condor in March. It will become D-AICN.

Does this mean we will be getting one of their 757's? Big grin

Is this from Thomas Cook Belgium or Thomas Cook UK? I assume it is going to be a CFM-powered example.

Could very well be that there might be some internal fleet swapping in the works. DE is positioning itself closer to a LCC model nowadays, and the B753 is a tad too big for such flights.

Regarding the fact that most charter airlines are using A321s and that Condor got rid of all its 757-200s would Condor ever consider the A321 ?
I know that they are not in the position of buying new aircrafts by now but would it make sense for them. I would say yes. How about you ?
It will forever be a McDonnell Douglas MD 80 , Boeing MD 80 sounds so wrong

I think the Airbus 320 will fulfill DE's requirements much better than the B753 as it surely needs big efforts to fill 252 seats. Even to PMI as a lot of competitors are on the way (AB, LT, HF)...  duck

Nevertheless, I like the B753 very much! Nice nose-down-behavior during descend...
