Quoting Werdywerd (Reply 1): Those are the types of passengers you get when your fares are so low or you have too many LCC's where everyone and anyone can fly. |
Quoting SK909 (Reply 3): But now thay are members of an elite club... Wink |
Quoting HPLASOps (Reply 8): There were in business class, fare hunters don't sit there. This is just a case of a couple being rich, drunk, and stupid. |
Quoting Speedbirdcrew (Reply 9): Some people astound me, I hope they are made to pay the fees that BA incurred in diverting to BDA and are never allowed to fly BA again |
Quoting RTFM (Reply 6): I wonder if they think it was worth it... |
Quoting RTFM (Reply 6): Yep - they will now be joining that 'elite' group of people who are banned from flying with BA... I wonder if they think it was worth it... |

Quote: Intoxicated, the couple, who were seated in business class, decided to submit their membership for the 'mile-high club' in one of the toilets. |

Quoting Semsem (Reply 18): Serves them right. Maybe alcahol should be banned from being served on aircraft. |
Quoting B747-4U3 (Reply 24): I don't see having sex in toilets on an aircraft as being a major crime- if a crime at all. However, there was no need for them to be abusive afterwards. |
Quoting Semsem (Reply 18): Maybe alcahol should be banned from being served on aircraft |
Quoting AndrewUber (Reply 25): If you read the article, you'll note that they were seated in Business Class. Last time I checked - Business Class on a longhaul BA flight isn't exactly cheap. |
Quoting B747-4U3 (Reply 24): I think the title of this thread is misleading. It is clear from the article that they were arrested because once caught they were abusive - not because they were having sex in the toilet. |
Quoting IDISA (Reply 27): I agree. The problem here should be not the fact that they were having sex in toilet but the fact that they were drunk and became outrageous. |

Quoting RIXrat (Reply 37): Both the Danish TV2 and the Singapore blog quoted "The Sun" of London, I presume, and we all know what a sterling reputation that yellow tabloid has. Anyway, it was a good read, and I don't think our Danish member should keep apologizing, or checking his sources any further. |
Quoting Gatorman96 (Reply 39): There is nothing wrong with joining the Mile High Club, but once you start beating up the crew, the line is crossed. I hope they bear some if not all of the diversion costs. |
Quoting Semsem (Reply 18): Serves them right. Maybe alcahol should be banned from being served on aircraft. |
Quoting Simpilicity (Reply 40): Yeh, but why didn't the crew give them another 15 seconds |
Quoting VinnieWinnie (Reply 5): Silly British they get SO abusive sometimes when drunk |
Quoting Simpilicity (Reply 40): |
Quoting Simpilicity (Reply 40): Yeh, but why didn't the crew give them another 15 seconds. They were poms right. It would have been all over & the guy would have been asleep 30 seconds later & apart from mess, no one would have been inconvenienced & they still could have been arrested on the ground where they should have landed not diverted !!!!!!! |
Quoting Traineepilot (Reply 46): Good luck to the couple to attempt to pay the unlucky £20,000. Hope it was worth it!!! |
