Darn it, this is why I miss being in AMS!!!! Moving to the Caribbean isn't all that when looking at the aircraft movement, in my case CUR. I hope to be in AMS next april/may and I will definately go aircraft spotting while I'm there. I would be stupid not to!!!

Now that I'm thinking of it, it is an odd timing to send the A332 to AMS on Christmas as not many people are travelling, but probably more Turkish people will be travelling now to go back to Türkiye to visit relatives and friends. The TK A332 is also doing crew training on these short intra-European hops I guess.
Bahadir, Gokmengs, Laxintl: Do you know ny any chance if the TK A332 will fly to AMS next summer (april/may)? TK uses the A313 to AMS in this period but the A332 will replace the A310 right? As Schiphol already is pretty much congested already during the day in the summer season, does TK have more slots they can use during the summer? TK will also take delivery of more 737s and A320s but the larger A332 gives TK an advantage when looking at the higher capacity of the A332.
Please keep me updated on the TK A332 summer schedule in april/may if that's okay with you.

It's a very busy day today for TK. This morning they send a A310 and a A330 on the afternoon flight.
Currently no TK A330 planned for Summer 2006 as TK wants three daily flights on AMS-IST (all B737-800).

I flew LH3340 this morrning coming from States. The A320 was parked all the way to the approach end of 18.. Anyway, it was full. Not a single seat empty.
There is also a religious holiday in mid Jan. Expect lotsa Turkish wide bodies in Europe with people taking about 10 days off. Some people in Europe already started their vacation now.
By the way, we parked next to the A330 when we pulled in the terminal in Istanbul. It was nice to see the bird first hand...

The core schedule for the summer shows two daily IST B738, plus two weekly ESB B738 flights.
However as you might be aware THY is quite adept at equipment swaps based on bookings, so there could be chance to spot the A332 this summer at AMS between their planned BKK flying.
Also for the record KLM will go 3x daily to Istanbul effective summer.

Thanks for the information Laxintl as usual. A bit off-topic, but I've seen a photo of the new TK cabin which is a very nice light blue colour. Is this colour inspired/based on the "blue eye" (nazar) which is typical for the Turkish culture? I really like this colour. In my opinion an improvement over the current cabin.

The TK A330 will be visiting Amsterdam Airport also the following days with the A330 (28,29 & 30th of December), so if the weather is nice get it.
