My thoughts exactly, that's the first thing I thought when I saw the picture of the B747. Peach Air used to spray peach air spray around the cabin before each flight, the old days ey

I too would like to know more about Orange Air. Are they involved in charter/IT work? Would love to see one of their 742s at Manchester doing the winter flights to Tenerife for the cheaper tour operators. Imagine the delays!

I miss Peach Air, i saw an L-1011 in Lanzarote- Arrecife Airport a few years ago and i just thought... What a nice livery. (I was very young then...lol)
Doesn't stop me wanting to see another Peach Air starting up. On a separate note, wasn't Peach Air taken over by TAP or Yes?

No, Peach Air was scrapped by Goldcrest and ceased to operate, Caledonian effectivley taking them over, (they were a subsidiary of Caledonian)
Their dodgy reputation for lengthy delays and ageing aircraft were infamous. Remember the 732 that suffered the decompression due to a cracked door.

Ahhh Peach Air. I am told though that their service was excellent on board. Crewing was done by Caledonian and Sabre on the L-1011 and 732 respectively. I remember writing to Caledonian back then to ask why they named it Peach Air. They said in their reply that after restructuring, they decided to refocus their Caledonian brand on the long haul and high bracket markets, and came up with a brand both family friendly, easy to remember and warm, and so the Peach was born! I've always been confused though as to why they had a separate code ( KGC instead of CKT). I also asked that, and was told that the code had no connection to their relationship with the seat broker, Goldcrest, but was all that was available at the time that wasn't a numerical code (eg 7G). Shame they went. I miss those airlines operating proper old interesting aircraft. I suppose economics override sentiment in business!

I recall now that a friend of me said he had seen a certain Peach Air on Tenerife in the period of 1997 and he guessed it was a B727.
I never believed it because I could'nt find some info in those days,
and in fact not so long ago we solved the mystery!
It was a cool airline though from what I know now!

Well, I was just at JetPhotos.net and they said Orange Air is from Sierra Leone. Does anyone else know more?
