PK's First 772LR ... Where To?

PIA's first 777-200LR is being delivered later this month and I was just curious as to where they might be flying it?

Nonstop to New York, perhaps? Any new routes, or will they be boring and just fly it to London - at least to begin with?

When are PK's first 773ERs being delivered?

Dont some airlines, when they get a new aircraft fly it on regional routes for crew training purposes (e.g. SQ on SIN-KUL). May PIA will do this and fly it to somewhere like Dubai for a few months beofre sending it elsewhere?

From other posts, I've read that the first route will be to IAH. Don't quote me on it though!

Does anyone know what the routes will be when all of the 777's are delivered?

Will ISB/LHE/KHI-MAN flights terminate in MAN?

Will the 747's go completely?

My guess is..
LHR - Mix of 77W's and 772's
MAN - Mix of 77W's and 772's
BHX - 772's (Possiblitly as some will be freed up)
JFK - 772LR
IAH - 772LR
YYZ - 772LR
and so on........

Isnt the 777 a little large for some PK destinations? The A310s are useful for destinations like Oslo and Birmingham. Will the A310s be replaced or kept in the fleet?

When will their first 777-300ERs be delivered? I assume they will be used to replace their old 747s.

LR is going to be used for 3 Direct flights a week to YYZ.

IAH is still in the works...I doubt ORD will get the -200LR..

I agree about Oslo, but not Birmingham! I think Birmingham could do with an upgrade, a large community of Pakistani people live in BHX and surrounding areas  Smile

according to a PIA official when the B 772LR was unvieled at SEA HQ few months ago, the first flight was going to be IAH-KHI nonstop.

YYZ is confirmed to get the LR from this spring

KHI-YYZ-KHI once a week
KHI-LHE-YYZ-LHE-KHI once a week
KHI-ISB-YYZ-ISB-KHI once a week
