BA And CX Loads In March....

Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:40 am

Hello,

If there's anyone out there who works for BA or CX, I am interested in knowing a couple of loads on flights in March. Specifically, BA 025 (LHR-HKG) on March 7, and CX 880 (HKG-LAX) on March 8. I will be zedding on these flights. If you don't want to share the information on the forum, please private message me instead.

(I know it's a bit early for these flights...I'm just curious for planning purposes!)

Thanks.

As long as you are not travelling in school holidays you should be fine on the LHR-HKG leg. I travel frequently to Hong Kong and as far as I know, outside of school holidays it is rare for staff not to get on at least one of the 3 flights.

Thanks, guys...I'll keep my eye on Amadeus, too. We'll see when it gets a bit closer.

You are flying LHR-LAX through HKG? Won't it be easier to fly direct through the other side of the globe? (unless you are using extra milage of coarse).

I was talking about BA having 3 daily. But CX do have 4, VS 1 and QF several weekly.

He-he...actually, we're flying around the world in 3 days! Routing is PIT-CLT-LGW-LHR-HKG-LAX-PIT. So yes, it would be easier, but that's not quite the point!  Wink

We're not doing it for miles, we're non-rev. We're doing it because we can!

The next question is what as nonrevs would we have to do to get upgraded on the BA or CX segments?

So there is little chance of getting upgraded as a nonrev on CX? What about BA, should you list for first if you want to get upgraded or just 'play the game'?

Some airlines treat their staff like premium customers...or better. Other airlines treat you like you are the mud at the bottom of the sea because you are on a ticket worth next to nothing.

I've heard BA are quite good and know people who have had upgrades to first class simply by hearing that they are staff for another airline. Sounds great to be treated like a first class citizen!
