Long Haul/ Short Haul Product Divisions In Asia

Sun Jan 22, 2006 3:52 am

I was wondering how airlines split their long haul/ short haul products in East and South East Asia.

The problem, as I have noticed, is that there are a lot of flights within Asia that are on the boundary of Long Haul and Short Haul such as BKK-NRT at 5hr30 and SIN-ICN at 6hr15.

Do the airlines operating these flights use their long-haul products (such as flat-bed seats...etc) or regional ones.

SQ seem to have a bit of a mix and match with some short-haul flights using long-haul products and vice-versa.

What do other airlines do?

Thanks for any help.
