I have noticed that University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) has a hockey team that competes in the CCHA, which is a league that is mostly midwestern/eastern. It looks like their season has taken them to Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan 2x maybe 3x, Ohio, and Indiana.
Is anybody aware of an airline charter agreement that they have from FAI ? Seems like a lot of cross country flying, especially if they have classes during the week.
What would be the most efficient routing from FAI to MSP, OMA, DTW/GRR/FNT, CVG/DAY, SBN?

Besides NWA I would imagine that they would use Alaska from Anchorage to Chicago and then continue on from there. This weekend with the games at Goggins against Miami of Ohio I would Imagine that they would of taken Delta from Anchorage all the way through to Cincinnati.

As far as I know, the team travels commercially on AS. At least they do sometimes, as I've been on the same flight into FAI as the team on a few occasions. The baggage claim belt gets overrun with hockey bags. I've also had classes with several hockey players and they do miss many classes due to all the travel. But the professors always had arrangements with the team that they would have to do some homework while they were on the road. All the flying does provide ample time to do their studies.
