Sun Feb 05, 2006 6:42 pm

are there any patterns for gate allocation in hkg, especially with cx? and if so, how are these determined? from looking at the departure information it looks like ba have three gates in a row (16, 17 and 18 i think) for their evening departures to lhr. any info on gates at hkia appreciated. thanks.

British Airways tend to use Gates 15, 16 and 17 for their evening departures. Usually the 2325 and 2345 share gates 15 and 16 or 16 and 17, and once they have left, the 0110 flight is pulled onto the gate.

I believe Qantas' Perth and London flights usually leave from 17 and Finnair's flight from 16.

The BA flights generally arrive on gates 15,16,17. Sometimes 18,20,22,24,26.
