New AA Seat Status?

When will AA's new business class product be unveiled? Is there any truth to the rumor that the old 763 and 772 seats will be installed into the wingletted 757s?

As far as the 757s go, if AA does indeed put the old business seats into them it would have to be the ones out of the 777s. Those seats are of the correct width. The seats out of the 767 would fit more appropriately into the MD-80, again judging only by width.

I thought the new business seats were supposed to be unveiled by now. I think there is supposed to be a 767 featuring them quite soon, with the refits beginning in earnest in September.

Hopefully someone has some info on this. I'm dying to know.

I dont think taking just 777s would be an issue because there should be enugh seats to take care of the job. Does anyone have any renderings of the seats or a comparison to an existing product...Ive heard LH but thats just what I heard a while ago on this forum.

The consensus a while back seemed to be a fully flat seat for business, especially since the seat will be placed in a large fleet that doesn't offer first. Fully flat is decidedly un-Lufthansa in my book. Sure wish some other folks would chime in with any info...

Does anyone know if AA will take the opportunity to introduce an AVOD system to replace the current IFE? I remember hearing that these seats might feature a 16:9 screen for IFE, and that it might bring a built-in IFE system to the 763, at least in business. I can't believe no one has details.
