Great LH Fares From Germany To SIN, HKG And ATL

In case someone is interested, I just saw that Lufthansa is offering really good fares to Singapore, Hong Kong and Atlanta. The flights cost 299 EUR + 10 EUR ticket fee. When you want to start from another German airport than FRA you can book flights to/from FRA for only 50 EUR more. You can earn miles on these flights.

The terms and conditions of the offer:

- Bookable from Wednesday to Tuesday
- Travel period from Wednesday starting 10 days (until the following Saturday at the latest)
- Minimum stay: Saturday to Sunday or a minimum of 4 days, maximum 14 days, intercontinental flights 1 month
- Fares include taxes and charges; excl. Lufthansa Ticket Service Charge
- Reebooking not allowed
- Nonrefundable

Additionally is Singapore Airlines offering FRA-JFK-FRA flights for ~303 EUR (taxes and fees incl.) but you can't earn miles for these flights.

I will call a friend now to ask if he would like to join me on a spontaneous trip to HKG or ATL, the offer is simply too good, even when it is Lufthansa.

Does the flight necessarily have to originate in Germany? In other words, if I want to buy an ATL-FRA-ATL ticket, do I still get these great fares?

Yes, the flight must originate in Germany but it is really difficult to find 299 EUR fares, I was just searching for flights to ATL but the fares were always way higher. I'll try it with HKG now.

Is the offer for German residents only? I tried to book a ticket to SIN, but they asked about the country of origin, then I should start over when I chose Danish, and couldn't finish the booking?

Yes Germany must be selected. In some cases, a fake address is needed, don't know about LH. All easy in these e-ticket times.

Well - I created a new profile and it worked well. Going to to SIN and will travel around in Malaysia for two weeks. Actually a very good price! Smile

That's a pretty amazing fare to SIN I'd have to say. I recall the SQ SARS offer even was more.

I am glad that someone took advantage of the offer. Such threads get usually answers like: "Way too expensive, I non-rev for 0.87 EUR from FRA via SYD to LAX and back in First Class". Big grin

Make sure they credit you the 8.500+ miles to your FFP account. The booking class was "W" wich usually earns only ~2.500 miles but the "click here to see how much miles you get" button clearly showed 8.500+. Make a screenshot of it and print it out when you want to be on the safe side.

299 EUR is even a pretty amazing fare for ATL because it includes full mileage credit. I was thinking about going to ATL ot HKG but I didn't find good fares on the dates I wanted to travel, however I have to say that I saw the 299 fare on alternative dates.

Lari, do you know why I didn't look for SIN flights? ...................... That would be way too much! Even 299 EUR is too expensive for two 12+ hour night flights in Lufthansa's Economy Class. Wink

I hate this junk about showing full mileage - it shows also on lufthansa-thailand.com for KUL/CGK flights although they're booked in W. Pretty good prices though, 3000 THB for KUL and 5000 for CGK.

In my oppinion LH has great fares coupled with the fact that even the cheaper ones will get you 100% FF miles. You can't say this about many of the other majors.

LH will get my money in the future, that's for sure.

Sorry to spoil the party, but cheaper intercontinental fares (W,S) only earn 50% mileage!
