Quoting CaptainJon (Reply 4): when i was in Tel Aviv, every single car that went into TLV was searched for bombs (mirrors under the car, searched the boot, etc). in fact, they searched everyone no matter where u went (even mall garages too). grated, its a lot smaller country, they do have security pretty tight and shit still happens unfortunately. something LAX can learn, and other airports here. at LAX the TSA seemed rather clueless or disorganised. long queues of people, turning off the escalators and allowed 10 up a time (bc the damn metal detectors were like a few metres from the up escalator). |
Quoting FlyingDoc (Reply 7): It is interesting that there are vehicular searches done at some US airports, but not at others. Certainly the logistical issues of searching all the vehicles at LAX would be daunting. But if it is necessary at some airports, you would think they'd work out some way to do it at others. |
