JetBlue-How Many F/As

Thu Mar 16, 2006 11:11 am

Hi everyone,

I am in the midst of wrapping up my senior project on jetBlue and my group needs to know how many Flight Attendants jetBlue has.

If anyone knows the number please let me know.

-Aloha!

thanks....

Is $18,000 a good estimate for a 1st year F/A's annual pay??

I did $20/hour x 75 hours/month x 12 months = $18,000

Thanks Again!!!

Actually, base pay is for the first 70 hours. 71st hour and above is $30/hour.

Haha, I certainly hope that's the case! I just graduated from jetBlue U yesterday, and JFK is going to be my new home...here's to 100+ hours a month of flying! Cheers!

Congratulations NASBWI!

We have about 2200 FA's with approx. 80 or so that graduate each month (2 classes per month, average 40 FA's per class).

Welcome aboard NASBWI!!!!! How are they working the entire fleet type thing with the inflight crewmembers. If you are trained for both a/c, can you bid on which type of a/c you are going to fly on?

Heya B6, as far as I know, you can bid for both types, but realistically (as with any airline), I'll take what I can get lol. Folks on reserve can't be choosers  wink . I don't know how many of B6's IFCs are qualified on the E90, but I'm sure the number is enough to keep them flying  smile

Sounds good to me. I work my butt off for B6 but rarely get to take a flight or even see an Inflight Crewmember...so I was curious.

All Inflight Crewmembers come out of training cross-trained on both aircraft. They are slowly training all the other crewmembers on the E-190. The pilot groups are, however, split and not cross-trained.

Congrats NASBWI and all the other new B6ers. With all your new flights, especially out of EWR, I'll probably be seeing you soon when I beg for one of your jumpseats.
By the way, do those of you based in JFK also cover the EWR flights? And if so, does B6 shuttle you over to EWR, or do you have to find your own way?

I think this was covered on one of our last days of class, but sadly I don't quite remember. I believe once in a while a JFK-based IFC may be transported to LGA to work a trip, but I believe EWR is the FLL-based IFC territory. Can anyone else back me up on this?

I think its split between JFK & FLL crews. I.E. JFK-TPA-EWR // EWR-RSW-EWR // EWR-FLL-JFK... I've had many pairings similar to the example. FLL crews get most of the LGA/JFK layovers.

Actually FLL gets Most of the LGA EWR Layovers.......We rarely get JFK Layovers.
